Wow, my first post on my very own blog! My first blog attempt as well, which is suprising considering I work in IT...and hate the word blog. I can just imagine this group of fellow IT geeks sitting around devising the first web log and chatting amongst themselves about term to use to describe it. Then one of them says, "Hey, it's a web log, so wouldn't it be funny if we shortened the term to 'blog' instead? Cause then we just have to say one word, and it's a funny one!" Then the other geeks would have cried with joy and tried to lift the alpha geek who had coined the term up above their shoulders, but due to limited upper body strength, ended up in a pile on the floor. And so began the world of the blog.
